This is the Hasegawa P-47D Razorback 1/48 scale kit. I cut out the flaps, rudder and elevators and replaced them with the Verlinden units, The cockpit is a combination of Verlinden and scratchbuilt parts, Wheels/tires are True Details parts.

Decals are Aeromaster and paint is Testor's Modelmaster enamels. The gun tubes are from large animal Hypodermic needles that I bought at the local Agway store. Amazingly, the nose checkers went down perfectly smooth. The fit was just a touch off, as they were designed for the Monogram kit, but were easily touched up with some flat black paint.

The airplane was weathered with a combination of artist's oils/turpenoid wash and chalk pastels.

The antenna is a piece of invisible thread.
