1/48 Revell F-15E (Part 1)

Here's the first part of an article on the building of the new 1/48 Revell F-15E.  In this part Rick Chin shows us how he went about super detailing the stock Revell cockpit.  Rick is quite impressed with the level of detail of the kit's cockpit which he found to be very good for the value.

I added the landing gear lever and the canopy ejection handle to the right front and all ejection handles on the right sides of the front and rear seats. As well as oxygen hoses and mike cables on the right sides.  This was all the detail I could add according to a few books and photos I had on this plane! 

For the instrument panels I used Gunze Sangyo clear green over Testor's gloss black enamel.  Use a very light  coat of the clear green paint as the video displays are not very green when the cockpit video displays on, as compared to when the instrument panels are turned on.
