1/48 Revell Mi-24D

This model was built straight out of the box with no after-market products used. It's an inexpensive kit by Revell with fairly good parts detail. Instead of using traditional Tamiya putty, I experimented with a dry wall filling compound (called DryDex in Canada) and was happy with the results. The compound which is originally pink in color changes to white when completely dry and is a lot easier to sand it off as well. The kit came with markings for East Germany (1985) and Poland, and I preferred the former.

The kit is hanging beautifully in my room now and my wife is happy to get the guest room back.

Enjoy!
