Hello  ARC!  This is my Revell F-15E Strike Eagle.  Except for some GBU-12's from a Hasegawa weapons set, this kit was built completely OOB.  I chose the 4th TFW decals that came with the kit.  This particular airplane scored an air-to-air kill on a helicopter using a laser guided bomb during Operation Desert Storm.

I painted it using Model Master acrylic paints, pre-shaded with my Badger 150 that I have had since 1991.  The bare metal areas are sprayed-on Metalizer protected with liquid mask.  Final weathering was a light dusting of pastels and a light wash of thinned out black paint.

I learned something new while painting this model. When I sprayed the main coat of paint, I inadvertently put it on heavier than I thought. However, I used Krylon Acrylic clear coat from a spray can, and that actually "ate" (for lack of a better word) some of the paint off, revealing the pre-shading underneath. The potential for disaster is there, but for me it worked out to be a happy accident.
