This is the Hasegawa F4U-7 in 1/48 Scale.  I put a resin cockpit in with some photoetch details.  The tail control surfaces were cut out and repositioned.  I put new fins on the rockets (not visible) because kit fins are way out of scale.

I mixed Model Master Dark Blue and Black Acryl for the Dark Blue color.  I mixed flat and gloss MM clear Acryl to give it a little shine, and avoid the "toy" look of too much gloss.  I added some scratch made mirrors and pull
handles inside the canopy.

The kit has very good detail for the most part.  It helps to spruce up the canopy and cockpit as the original it is a little sparse in detail.  I also made my own cowl flaps to replace ones that were too thick.  The kit is challenging but makes a very good representation of probably the most colorful Corsair.

Thanks to all for the inspiring models on ARC!
