Hello everyone,

This is my Helio U-10B. It's a short run kit produced by Airmodel and out of production for a long time.

When I built this model I had only two pictures at my disposal. At that time, I had no computer and no internet access. So I trusted the manufacturer and unfortunately I have later discovered errors like the engraved door on the right side that does not exist in reality.

In this kit the fuselage was molded in clear plastic but too thick. I Vaccu formed the windshield and I cut the left door to represent it open. To this day, I still found no reliable information on the color of the cockpit.  The slats were also Vaccu formed.

I painted the model with Gunze acrylic paints and the camouflage is done freehand with my badger 150. I used the kit decals to represent an aircraft that belonged to the 5th S.O.S. / 14 S.O.W. based in Nha Trang in Vietnam in 1969.

Thank you for looking

Have a nice day
