Silly Week 2018

Some time ago I saw a picture of the Jupiter. A small executive transport built in France circa 1960. This is a twin-push-pull transport, single fuselage configuration powered by a Lycoming 10-540 engine. The aircraft has an engine at either end. The aim was to combine the performance of a conventional twin engine type with the ease of handling of a single engine aircraft.

The type never made it to production status and I could not find a good livery for it after I made scale plans and built it in pine wood to a scale of 1/72.  An idea cropped into my mind and altered it into a 7 seat Navigation trainer. I added a long belly mounted radar, added tinted glass and completed it into a hypothetical CAF color scheme. CAF ordered 21 such trainers in its inventory!.

Happy New Year.
