This is Revell's late 90s tooling of the Me-262, the single seat version of the first operational jet fighter in the world.

I've always liked the lines of this airplane, and still consider it one of the most beautiful and aesthetic designs.

It's an overall excellent tooling, well moulded, no flash, and goes together nicely with no fit issues. Very little filler is required - in fact, I only needed some around the engine nacelle to wing joints.

The canopy is atrocious - ill fitting, hazy, and has practically no framing. I had to paint it on using approximation and masking tape.

I finished the model OOB, and though I used the kit decals for an Me 262 A-1a-3 of EJG 2 (Late 1944), I took a bit of creative licence with the colour scheme. Paints are Italeri, Vallejo and Revell acrylics.
