I received these two kits started, and very nicely started.  The seem to have resin nose which made them of the very recent past.  Both also had spotlights drilled out to do a current Canadian Hornet.

Well ..Have a bunch of Canadian Hornets I still need to make, but they are older without the very nice bird slicers. I did however have a lovely Furball decal sheet with one of the last USN Hornets squadrons I have been wanting to do.

So, I filled in the spotlights and went US Navy, VFA-37

Bulls to be exact. When painting these two kits up together you really see the difference between the basic Revell kit and the more advanced Hasegawa. Still, the Revell still looks not too bad overall.

Just the nose is a lot thicker looking. The Revell kit was missing a few parts.

But no complaints, it was a free kit. Lucky I had a couple Hasegawa Spares and basic skills to make the rest.
