The Hughes 500 C from Revell is a true kit-oldie.  The parts are fitting good but a lot of burr has to be removed.  I decided to make the overall black N50MP out of my model.

I built the exhaust tube from scratch out of an external fuel tank. The instrument panel got instrument-housings, wires and tubes, because it can be seen well when you look at it from the front.

Also antennas, rods for the main- and tailrotor and other small parts were built from scratch to make it looking more realistic.

First I painted the dome white. After that I attached two layers of self printed decals (transparent foil) of the registration on the white area. So the black covers well. The model was painted with brush (enamels from Revel) and sealed with clear, shiny varnish. On the main rotor I sprayed semi gloss clear varnish.
