Greetings from tropical and rainy Merlion City..

Both these kits are rare and in limited production are produced from resin. I managed to get my hands on both of them and did some modifications to the Skyspeed resin model by adding pitot tubes, changing the serial numbers to "380" with my own self designed decals and adding panel line details to depict a more accurate RSAF S211 Marchetti that were in service back in the 1990s.

As for the SF260 resin Planet Models kit (from the Czech Republic), it was quite a challenging build as the resin parts were brittle and some of the parts would break off from the resin tree if not handled with care! This happened several times and I had to fix some broken pieces back with CA glue. The canopy is a one piece vac form clear part which also had to be cut, trimmed and sanded carefully to fit the fuselage and cockpit opening of the SF260.

Decals were self made with lots of referencing from old photos from the 90s era Singapore Air force Marchettis that were in service with the 150 Squadron SF260W based at Seletar Air Base and 130 Squadron S211s based at Paya Lebar Airbase.

Happy to say that the results of my modelling efforts paid off! Hope you enjoy my pictures and artwork!
