Hi
folks,
I
recently finished this Mosquito killer a few weeks ago, it is the Revell 1/32
kit. The kit was finished pretty much out of the box except for the seat belts and
some detail added to the wheel wells and behind the dash board which were
scratch built. Paints used were Model Master enamels combined with some AMMO
wash and pastel chalks.

Paint scheme was based on references since the
scheme provided for "Red 12" on the instructions manual has some
incongruencies. Fuselage was pre-shaded and painted with a mix of RLM76 (5
parts) and RLM02 (3 parts) with RLM81/82 mottling. Upper wings surfaces were
pre-shaded and painted with a pale green and then a heavy post-shading of RLM82
was applied which blended well with the base coat. Under surfaces were painted
black and a heavy grey post-shading was applied then, blended with grey pastel
chalk.
The kit comes with great detail and fits rather
well, although dry-fit of the pieces is a must before gluing.
I really
enjoyed this kit, though there are some places like the nose and wing to
fuselage seems that need attention it still is a very nice fitting and detailed
kit for a great price. I experimented new painting technics and materials and
I'm
very happy with the result.
Cheers,
