Revell
just released the big scale ECR Tornado 'Tigermeet 2001/2002' and as I got the
kit I had to build it ASAP. It has a very striking Tiger-scheme as seen in real at the Tigermeet 2001/2002 and it builds into a real eyecatcher in the showcase.
The
decals are sometimes a little bit tricky, but there is a complete set of
Tigerstripes included on a real big decal sheet. The build process was no problem and after the painting was done with Gunze colours (three-tone grey plus the yellow for the tiger area) the decals needed some time, but with a great result. After decaling the Tornado it was fi nished with a layer of future. Then
I applied a wash of oil paint and some pastel chalk for the exhaust area, as
Tornados have very “dirty” vertical stabilisers depending on their thrust
reverse. Everything
was fixed with a last layer of Gunze flat and a great Tigermeet jet makes his
way into the showcase. Hope,
