1/72 Italeri Heinkel He-111 H6

It took for about a half year to make this model. Not because it was really hard to make it, just I didn't have enough free time. The geometry & plastic are very accurate, but the wing is longer than on a real plane for about 1 centimeter (.4").  I decided to leave it the way it was. The detailing is good enough except for the cockpit interior. The main thing I was upset about was absolutely wrong panel lines. So I engraved all new ones.

The main clear part is crystal clear and canopy frames are well defined making it easy to mask up, I used Tamiya's  masking tape for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how easy and useful it is. The model was painted with Tamiya enamel.  Good paint, but needs to be polish covered. I really enjoyed the time I spent building this model.

I didn't want the model look like a new plane, so I weathered it a bit with a pastels and made some scratches as you can see on a photos.  I think the end result is pretty good.
