Here are some pics
of my 1/48th Hasegawa P-47C-5. Mild conversion by filling in bottom 2 cooling
gills on both sides. Belly bulge retained as most -C birds in ETO were
retroactively fitted with this advancement. In addition, engine is wired,
brake lines have been added, seat belts and buckles are scratchbuilt, as are
front iron sight and grounding cable, blast tubes are from vinyl covered paper
clips, Iron ring sight and wheels are True Details parts. Paints are my
own mix of Model Master Enamels. Decals are from Super Scale. Model
represents "Half Pint" flown by Robert S Johnson in the famous
"saluting Focke Wulf" incident.
