1/72 Revell Su-27

--------------------

This is the first time one of my models has appeared on ARC.

This model was build basically out of the box (to me OOB means leaving model geomentry and basic dimensions without changing). I added only two aftermarket things - cockpit made by Neomega Resin and Linden Hill Decals - "Flankers on patrol, Part I".

Actually, the Neomega cockpit is intended for the Italeri model, so I spent some hours finishing off the resin cockpit.

There was some finishing work done to the model - using some parts from an Eduard set, but the set wasn't used with big parts - only some of the photo etch parts. To be honest, I am not a big admirer of using photo-etched sets, so when a get a chance to use them, I usually don't use with all the parts.

Missiles wings, intakes edges were made thinner. Intakes' covers were made from plastic and foil.

Unfortunately, a try to make "tarnishing" on the exhaust area turned into a not so well looking "silvering" of the area under the daylight shots.

I tried to make a "worn" camouflage of North-based Flankers - I supposed so, it is not a perfect try but perhaps this is more closer to a real Flanker than my previous tries:) I hope You'll like the model too:)
