1/48 Hasegawa Ki-43 Oscar

I built Hasegawa's Ki-43 "Oscar" kit using Eduard's photoetched detail set.

The markings came from the box.

I found some great photos of the cockpit on the web: http://www.nzfpm.co.nz/former/ki43i.htm . I also added some wiring and linkages from fine wire. The Eduard set is quite amazing. It includes the sidewall fromework, complete with lightening holes!

I painted my Hayabusa with Alcad II metallics, using Future as a primer. I also glosscoated it with Future so that I could apply enamel washes.

This is a very nice little kit, and I will add more to my collection. Now, if I could just find some 1/48 Royal Thai Air Force markings so I could do one with the "Tiger Stripe" camo . . .
