1/48 Hasegawa F-16CJ Block 50

This is my first submission to ARC. The kit is the 1/48 scale Hasegawa F-16CJ built with photo etched parts, Black Box cockpit, and seamless “large mouth” intake.  This was the first kit that I have ever tried to use resin parts. I found that the learning curve was steep and the instructions were not as clear as I would have wished.  I also dropped the flaps and opened the speed brakes.  The kit itself went together great and required the normal amounts of filling. The greatest challenge was getting the intake to fit well, a lot of sanding, putty, and scribing was needed to get the intake to look good. The paint was done using model master paint; a small amount of weathering was done with charcoal. I used the kit decals because the Two Bob set I wanted was sold out.  I did not apply all of them in fear of having the kit decals shine after dull coat was applied. (Next time I will order the decals as soon as I see them).  Thanks to ARC for all the tips….
