This
is the old kit Monogram, which is widely known, with raised panel lines and good
details in cockpit and landing gear.
In
general, in contrast to other kits of the same manufacturer, I did not have big
problems with the overall fit; the most complicated part was to fit the engines
to fuselage.

The
kit was enhanced with some aftermarket items as you can see in the pictures
above. I used the Eduard photoetched for the cockpit and some exterior details,
an Aces II ejection seat from True Details and decals from Superscale.
For
painting I used enamels Model Master and Humbrol. I did the camouflage by free
hand and in this model I made a rather light weathering, which was done only
with pastel chalks and graphite.
The
version corresponds to one of the A-10 that took part in the Desert Storm
operation, during the Gulf War in 1991.
