1/48 Tamiya Bf-109E-4

This is the personal plane of Adolf Galland during the Battle Of Britain.  It is the Tamiya 1/48 Bf-109E-4/7 Trop kit married with the decal options in Hasegawa's Bf109E Galland "Special".  I also added an Ultracast Bf-109B-E seat which comes with the harness moulded on (a godsend if, like me, you don't want to be messing about with foil & buckles).  I tried to fit the Moskit exhausts as well, but they wouldn't go (possibly only work on Hasegawa).  In the end I drilled out the kit parts and used those.

Paint mixes are my own using Tamiya paints (I keep a supply of RLM colours ready mixed).  These are based on the Tamiya suggested paint mixes, but significantly lightened to allow for pre-shading.  I've used the bare minimum of weathering as I haven't summoned up the courage to do it properly.
