1/72 DML MIG-15

General

The DML kit is very good, even if we can find some points to correct regarding the shape of the wings.  I have not changed the wing shape in order be able to finish the model ASAP.  I used a PAVLA resin ejection seat.  The cockpit had to be adjusted to accommodate the PAVLA ejection seat.

Decals

I have bought a Microscale decal to get a Chinese version.  For the aircraft serial number (502) I had to get the number 5 from my Revell MIG-21.

Paints

I used HUMBROL (upper surfaces) and Vallejo (lower surfaces).

Details

I had to create almost all of the cockpit details.  I also added some cables in the main gear and front gear.  The exhaust jet tube was made by a plastic tube using the original part to close the exaust tube. The canopy is very good, I just had to add the open/close canopy system.  The air intake had to be adjusted in order to avoid to see the cockpit.

I strongly recommended this kit.  It's easy to construct and at the end you have a good result.
