This
the Brazilian P-47D 25 that was used in Italy in 1944. The pilot was Ten. Nero
Moura, 1st Brazilian fight squadron (1a GavCa). This squadron was part of the
USAF 350th Fighter Group. Between October 44 to May 45 this squadron did 455 war
missions. 16 planes were knocked down by Germans and 5 pilots died. During the 6th to
29th of April the Brazilian group flew 5% of the total missions, they destroyed 15%
of the German vehicles, 28% of the bridges, 36% fuel store buildings and 85% of
the ammunition store depots .

My
P-47 was painted using Alclad II over a High Gloss Testors Black. I used
Brazilian FCM decals and overcoated it with Metalizer Sealer. The kit is
easy to build but patience will be great to give it a " Real
look". I "washed" it using Promodeller wash, dark and
brown. I'm not an expert, but I really like the final result!
