This
sheet represents aircraft from the US Navy Test Pilot School as well as
one jet from the USAF Test Pilot School. There are enough decals
to complete two entire aircraft on this sheet. Used in conjunction
with the kit decals, you could probably stretch this sheet out to even
more.
The
two USNTPS aircraft that are represented are from two different time
frames. The USNTPS 50th Anniversary jet is a little more colorful
in that it adds a couple of small anniversary markings behind the
cockpit area as well as underneath the windscreen. The second
USNTPS scheme is from Oct. 2003 and represents the current school
scheme. The main difference in the scheme is the modex numbers on
the speedbrakes.
The
red striping for these two aircraft are broken up into three sections on
the fuselage so they are easier to handle. Pitot boom markings are
also included.
The
USAFTPS aircraft represented is of a current jet from the school.
Not as flashy as it's Navy counterpart but these aircraft fullfill just
as an important role at the AFFTC. This aircraft has an
instrumented MAD boom for a pitot tube and this boom is used for high
AOA work.
