This new decal sheet from Caracal Models includes markings for 4 different 1/48 USAF A-10C Warthogs, including two with special color schemes.
The A-10 Demo Team special scheme (80-0275) is inspired by "The Hun Hunter", the P-51 Mustang flown by Col. Henry Brown during WWII. The Moody-based A-10C (78-0597) wears a special scheme to commemorate the "Flying Tigers" heritage of the unit.
The 4 aircraft include:
Accurate stencilling and national insignia to build any one of the options is included. All of the sheets in this set were professionally screen printed by Cartograf in Italy.
The recommended kit is the Monogram kit in 1/48 scale.
I like this decal sheet quite a bit. The Flying Tigers artwork on the sides of the engines on one of these A-10's connects back to the Squadron history of the Flying Tigers in China at the dawn of WW2. And the special paint scheme with D-Day stripes is also great to see. There is plenty to be excited about in this decal sheet.
