This latest release from Lifelike Decals features four different Me-109's in 5 different paint schemes.  This is Part 5 of  a series dealing with the Me-109 in Luftwaffe markings from August 1940 in France to the Autumn of 1943 in Belarus. 

The 4 aircraft include an E-3 from the Battle of Britain to the winter in Russia and everything in-between in Europe.  The 109's included on this sheet include the following:

  • Me 109 E-3, W. Nr. 8508 flown by Fw. Arthur Haase 6/JG51 from Marquise-West France in August 1940.  This aircraft has 3 kill markings on it's tail.

  • Me 109 F-4/R1, W. Nr. 13125 flown by Oblt. Max-Helmut Ostermann Sta. Cap. 8/JG54 from Siebelskaya/Russia May 10-12 1942.  This pilot had 100 kills at this time although 62 are shown on the tail.  Wearing summer mottling.

  • Me 109 F-4/R1, W. Nr. 13125 flown by Oblt. Max-Helmut Ostermann Sta. Cap. 8/JG54 from Siebelskaya/Russia May 10-12 1942.  This pilot had 100 kills at this time although 62 are shown on the tail.  Wearing RLM 76 paint .

  • Me 109 G-6/R-6, W. Nr. unknown flown by Major Adolt Dickfield, Kdr.  II/JG11 from Jever Northern Germany at the end of May 1943.  This aircraft has 100 kill markings on it's tail.

  • Me 109 G-6/U-3, W. Nr. 15746 flown by Hptm. Friedrich-Wilhelm Kahler, Kdr.  NAG 4 in probably summer to autumn in 1943 Bojari, Belarus.  This aircraft has 100 kill markings on it's tail.

The quality of these decals is of very good quality.  The decals themselves are clearly printed and in perfect register.  Some decals come in 2 layers to ensure perfect registration.  You get one full sized decal sheet and one smaller insert sheet.  Four of the five planes has artwork.  The instructions contain the wonderful text telling about the finer details of each aircraft and refers to the references used.  You also get a full set of stencils and a separate instruction sheet showing stencil placement with 4 view line drawings.
