This resin and photo etch set from Eduard is part of the Brassin series and is available directly from Eduard Model Accessories. This set includes two Storm Shadow Missiles in 1/72 scale. The Storm Shadow / SCALP is a long-range, air-launched, stand-off attack missile designed and developed by France-based MBDA Systems. The missile was developed primarily for the UK and French armed forces. It is derived from the MBDA Systems' Apache anti-runway
missile. The missile is intended to strike high-valued stationary assets such as airbases, radar installations, communications hubs and port facilities. The Storm Shadow is capable of engaging the targets precisely in any weather conditions during day and night. The long range and low attitude combined with subsonic speed make the Storm Shadow a stealthy missile.
This resin set includes:
These missiles can be displayed with the wings deployed or folded back. There are 3 pages of instruction in the usual line drawing format that Eduard is famous for and which are so easy to follow. Painting instructions are included. You might be required to fold the photoetch in this set, but if you have one of the Hold & Fold photo etch benders from The Small Shop, then this will be an easy process. They have a variety of benders for sharp corners as well as rounded corners and in many different sizes. These missiles would be an excellent addition to your next RAF jet or other jets that carried the Storm Shadow missile. It's good to see Eduard providing these various weapons to further enhance our models. You can buy this detail set and thousands of other items directly from Eduard Model Accessories.
