Tom Dziedzic is here in style with his 1/48 Academy F-15C.   Tom enhanced the cockpit with Eduard photoetch and then chose a epic paint scheme for the Oregon National Guard.  No doubt about it.....I love this F-15!!

Dominican Republic Independence Day

WW1 Events - this date in 1918

El Rey is here from glorious warm Mexico with his 1/48 Hobbyboss P-38L Putt Putt Maru.  El Rey did quite a bit of extra work on his P-38 including scratchbuilt detailing.  The paint scheme is a flawless bare metal finish with colorful markings for the fighter of a famous ace in the Pacific.  It is a treat to see the photos of this P-38.

Patrick Vossenberg has done an amazing job detailing and weathering his 1/72 Revell F-16B (2x).  Patrick added some resin and photos etch to detail his jet and them gave them  a full weapons load and a stunning weathering job and markings for Belgium and Jordan.  I love the look of his F-16's.

Kuwait Liberation Day 

WW1 Events - this date in 1918

Richard Spreckley has created an absolutely divine diorama for his first venture into building a WWI plane.  Richard chose the very nice 1/48 Copper State Models Sopwith Dolphin 5FI and then showed off certain areas such as the engine and added the upper guns and pilot to complete this historically accurate scene.  Richard explains the build process as well as how he created the stunning display.  Sit back and enjoy the photos.

Michael Phillips has excelled on his 1/48 AMK IAI Kfir C7 - Lion Cub 555.  Michael added extra detailing and then finished his Kfir in Israeli markings complete with a stunning camo scheme.  I really like the look of this one.  This jet model looks great from every angle.

Queito Thomas (Marvin20) is here in style with his beautifully weathered 1/48 Eduard F6F-3 Hellcat.  Queito added wing folds to his Hellcat along with some scratch built details and then gave it a flawless camo scheme with just the perfect amount of weathering.  He explains the whole process in his helpful article.  Beautiful work Queito.

André Manzano used a WolfPack Design conversion set to complete his stunning 1/48 HobbyBoss Dassault Rafale C.  André gave his Rafale a very realistic looking weathering job and the French markings came from a Skyraider Model Designs decal sheet.  I love how this Rafale looks.

Didier Mayeur joins us with his big and very impressive 1/72 Italeri Short Sunderland MkIII.  Didier was very carefiul in all areas in this model including the amazing cockpit and even gave it weathering that included bird droppings.  The Eduard detailing in the cockpit looks first rate.  It is a treat to see this 4 engined flying boat beast on ARC.

WW1 Events - this date in 1918

Jens Gerber joins us from Germany with his fantastic looking 1/48 Dragon Ju 88 G6.  Jens added Eduard photo etch to the cockpit and exterior to improve the detailing and finished his bomber in markings that appeared in Denmark during the war with a very eye catching camo scheme.

Dragan Cvetic has done a marvelous job building and finishing his 1/72 AZ Models Super Mystere B2.  Dragan dressed up the cockpit with a HUD and then finished his jet in Israeli markings complete with one of those classic looking colorful camo schemes.  The panel lines were given a wash to show the lines better.

Charlies Rodriguez (CharlieUH-1H) is here from the Dominican Republic with his impressive looking 1/48 Italeri UH-1V United Stated Army.  Charlies has a passion for choppers and this is his 3rd one on ARC.  He added some aftermarket items and then did a massive amount of scratchbuilding to the interior including a a Gatorade cooler to give his medevac UH-1V a very realistic look.  Excellent work Charlies.

WW1 Events - this date in 1918

Michael Phillips starts today in grand style with his 1/48 Tamiya F-14A Tomcat - Fast Eagle 100. Michael chose a Tomcat from the mid 70's with VF-41 Black Aces in hi-viz markings from Furball Decals with a gentle application of weathering to help bring out the wonderful details on his Tamiya F-14.  This F-14 is a treat to see.

Straker65 has captured the faded look with great success on his 1/72 Hobbyboss Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat.  Straker65 gave his fighter shaded panel lines and some mild paint chipping which replicates the look of the Widcats that were stationed under the blazing sun in the Pacific.  I really love the look of this one.

Carmel J. Attard did plenty of extra work on his 1/72 Airmodel Yak-17 UTI including scratchbuilding to create his Bulgarian jet trainer.  This is a vac-u-formed kit and as you read Carmel's article, you will appreciate the extra love and attention that is needed to complete a vac kit.  But as you will see in his photos, the extra effort is well worth it in the end.

WW1 Events - this date in 1918

Cloud in the Wind is on ARC today for the first time.  This is the 1/48 Revell MQ-9 Reaper finished as an in-flight UAV with a full weapons load and a small electric motor to spin the prop.  You will find a link to a video of the spinning prop.  Welcome to ARC Cloud in the Wind, this is a very cool project.

Federico Kunz is here from Mexico city with a very realistic looking 1/48 Zvezda Mil Mi-24A.  Federico chose an Afghanistan Hind with it's great looking desert camo scheme.  This kit permits plenty of open panels and Federico took full advantage of that feature of this kit.

Peter Verlooy got everything on his 1/72 Esci F104-J Starfighter looking very good.  This is the classic ESCI kit that Peter built into a very nice model of the Starfighter.  Beautiful work Peter.

WW1 Events - this date in 1918

Dragan Cvetic has got all the details looking great on his 1/72 AML Mirage IIIC.  Dragan used a combination of aftermarket goodies and scratchbuilt items to detail his Israeli jet and gave the panel lines a wash to bring out the details.

Queito “Marvin20” Thomas has done a stellar job weathering his 1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A Corsair.  This beauty is finished in the markings of the very popular and famous ACE Pappy Boyington.  It doesn't get much sweeter than this.

Douglas Conrady conquered the very challenging 1/72 Sword T-38 with great success.  I do love the paint scheme Douglas chose.  Very nice indeed.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler is a F-4 Phanatic and today he honours us with his very special 1/32 Tamiya F-4D Phantom #200.  This is the big Tamiya kit wearing Iranian markings and a great looking camo scheme.  Shawn also included photos of dozens of the Phantoms which is truly spectacular to see.  Thanks for showing us Shawn.

Federico Kunz joins us from Mexico city with weary battle hardened 1/48 Promodeler Ju-88 C-6.  Federico gave his Luftwaffe bomber a full weathering job which adds an exceptional level of realism.  I rerally enjoyed seeing the photos of this Ju-88.

Straker65 dressed up his 1/72 Airfix BAE Hawk T1 with resin and photo etch to give get a gorgeous model of this little jet trainer.  Straker65 chose a black scheme and the completed model is a joy to see.  Enjoy his photos of this little gem.

Gerd Wilcken starts today with his outstanding 1/48 Kinetic Dornier Alpha Jet A/E.  Gerd added resin detail items to improve his Alphajet and then weathered and finished it as a German jet.  The model is fantastic, but the base is equally eye catching with it's German cross.  This one is a beauty.....check out the photos and Gerd's article to see what he did.

Michael Phillips has done a stunning job weathering his award winning 1/48 Revell F-15E Strike Eagle - Diceman Mudhen.  Michael upgraded the cockpit with resin seats and gave it a full weapons load using items from Hasegawa.  Then he finished it with decals from 3 different sources.  This is one sweet looking Mudhen.

   Happy Valentines Day!!!

Tom Dziedzic has done something I admire very much.  This is the classic 1/48 Monogram F-100D given plenty of love and turned into a stunning example of this classic USAF jet. Tom added an aftermarket cockpit and decals with some very colorful markings.  No doubt about it, this one is stunning.

Jean-Charles Goddet is here with a very special aircraft today.  This is his 1/72 Hobbyboss Dassault Rafale C wearing a special French/Soviet anniversary paint scheme and some very attractive markings.  Jean-Charles explains more in his article and includes 10 photos of his Rafale C.

  Tibet Independence Day

Bob Leonard has done a impressive job converting the Minicraft 1/144 KC-135A Stratotanker converted into a 1/144 Minicraft C-135A Stratolifter.  This was quite involved in this conversion and Bob expalins the process in easy to follow detail.  His finished model is a treat to see.


Michael Phillips has added some aftermarket resin to improve his 1/48 Academy Su-27 Flanker-B - Yellow 05.  The real beauty of this Flanker is the awesome camo scheme for the Kazakhstan jet and a skillful weathering job complete this beauty to a very high standard.

Jens Gerber has done a fantastic job weathering his 1/48 Dragon Ju 88 C6.  I do enjoy seeing Luftwaffe aircraft in winter camo and Jens explains his technique in his article.  It's a very interesting read and the photos are great to see.

Dragan Cvetic has done a stunning job on his 1/72 KP MiG-21 MF.  This MiG is a former East German jet with a flawless looking weathering job and some upgraded cockpit detailing including a resin seat and added seat belts.  I love the look of this MiG.

Sertac Bayar has done a perfect job on his 1/32 Revell Tornado ECR.  This big Tornado shows off very well in the hands of a skilled modeller  as you will see in his photos.  It looks excellent.

Rodrigo Aparicio D (salvador001) is here from El Salvador with his 6th model on ARC.  This 1/35 Academy/MRC UH-60A Dustoff Blackhawk.  Rodrigo added plenty of extra work to transform his Blackhawk into a medevac chopper using a variety of after market resin including the Werner Wings UH-60 medevac update set.  This is quite the  project and the finished model looks spectacular.

Federico Kunz joins us from Mexico City today with his 11th model on ARC.  This is his 1/72 Italeri MiG-29A finished in an attractive camo scheme with a touch of weathering to bring his MiG to life.  This is a sweet looking jet and I'm very happy to see it on ARC.

WW1 Events - this date in 1918

Murad Özer begins today with his 5th model on ARC and what a masterpierce this is.  This is Murad's 1/48 Academy F-4D Phantom II finished with a stunning weathering job in South Korean markins and a full weapons load and drop tanks.  Check out the paint work and weathering.  I love the way this Phantom looks. 

Chip Berseth has been a longtime ARC'er and today he is here with his 11th model on ARC.  This is Chip's 1/48 ProModeler Focke Wulf Ta-154 Moskito with some top notch scratchbuilt cockpit detailing.  Chip gave his Moskito a great looking camo scheme and set his night fighter up on a grass airfield base.  Beautiful work Chip.

Dragan Cvetic is here with something different today.  This is his impressive 1/144 Zvezda Tu-160 built OOB with just the perfect amount of weathering.  A very cool looking Russian jet and very realistic looking thanks to Dragan's skills at painting and weathering.

Grenada Independence Day

WW1 Events - this date in 1918

Michael Phillips builds exceptional models and he has a passion for VF-84 and other Skull and Cross Bones squadrons, so his model today is a treat.  This is his 1/48 Hobby Boss F3H-2 Demon - Victory 210 with a resin ejection seat plus aftermarket decals and a stunning weathering job. The finished model is a treat to see.

Mike Muth is here with his 2 very colorful WWI American fighters including one flown by the famous American Ace Eddie Rickenbacker.  These are Mike's 1/48 Roden & Glencoe Nieuport 28 and he includes history and some very good insight into building both of these Nieuport 28 kits which I found quite helpful. Both of these are a treat to see.

Paolo Yuen is here with a very special 1/72 Hasegawa Su-35.  This one is wearing the prototype camo scheme and is detailed with photo etch and a metal pitot tube.  The finished model is stunning in this camo and it's weapons load.

New Zealand Waitangi Day

Jean-Charles Goddet starts today with his very special 1/72 Hasegawa Grumman F-14B VF-74.  This F-14 is painted in an adversary camo scheme to simulate a Russian jet.  Jean-Charles added the kit photo etch to dress up the cockpit and has the canopy open to show off his work.  His finished model is a treat to see.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler had a grand time building his 1/32 Tamiya Mustang.  This is the big Tamiya Mustang and Shawn took full advantage of all that detail.  He used aftermarket decals to complete his P-51 in RCAF markings and a bare metal finish.  The end result of all his work looks excellent. 

Thomas Brückelt dropped by the ARC Corporate office in Germany with his 1/72 HobbyBoss Messerschmitt Me 262 Racer.  This what-if air racer is something I never expected to see for a 262 and I must admit the idea is brilliant.  His custom decals make this Me 262 look like a very realistic air racer.  I'm impressed Thomas.

San Marino - Santa Agata Day

Tom Dziedzic has done a marvelous job detailing and weathering his 1/48 Tamiya MiG-15Tom added photo etch to dress up the detail in the cockpit and flaps and then some resin wheels before giving it a perfect looking weathering job.  His finished MiG is quite attractive indeed.

Tolga Ülgür is here with a 109 in a very unique paint scheme.  This is his 1/32 Hasegawa Bf-109G-6 “Black 10” with resin goodies including the cockpit, stabs, wheels, exhausts and prop.  I love the paint scheme.....it is quite eye catching. 

Dragan Cvetic is here with his cool looking 1/72 HobbyBoss F-5E.  Dragan improved the cockpit detail and scrathcbuilt guns and pitot tube before giving it a great looking camo scheme for the Iranian Air Force.  This is a great looking F-5.

Dragan Cvetic is here with something out of the ordinary for him.  This is his exceptional looking 1/72 Finemolds X-Wing Fighter with full weathering.  Dragan got every part of his X-Wing looking perfect.

Luqmanul Hakim A.K.A Mee Wan joins us from Malaysia with his beautifully painted 1/72 Revell RMAF Airbus A-400M.  This A-400 has a very subtle weathering job with beautifully done shaded panel lines.  I love the look of this one in it's Malaysian markings.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with a very cool in-flight display.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa F-4D Phantom #199 launching a missile in the heat of a dogfight.  Shawn picked a very famous MiG killer you can read about in his article.
