My wife and I are heading to the Philippines in a few hours.  We'll be there for 10 days spending time with Angel.  Updates will continue while I'm gone.  Here is a photo of the 3 of us from a couple of years ago.

Dragan Cvetic is here with his very attractive 1/72 LIft Here LC-126A.  Dragan chose a brightly coloured SAR scheme with the USAF.  This is a resin kit and I live on the coast and love seeing float planes and this one is a beauty.

Carl Jarosz is here with his eye catching and very colorful 1/144 Skyline Model Boeing 737-300 wearing the livery of a US airline from the 1990's.  It's great to see this airliner wearing these decals from Daco Decals. Nicely done Carl.

Here's a product article for the 1/32 Su-25 PD-62-8 Pylons from Zactomodels.  This set includes one pair of PD-62-8 pylons, launch rail mounting hardware and aileron actuator brackets.  The PD-62-8 pylons were often used on the Su-25.  The pylons are not included in the Su-25 kit, but it does include mounting holes for them (how convenient!).

Denmark Queen's Birthday

Carl Jarosz did some exceptional work finishing his bare metal 1/72 Academy P-51B.  Carl also added detailing in the cockpit and gave his WW2 fighter subtle weathering.  I love the look of his P-51.

Björn Leichsenring is here with an Eastern bloc airliner wearing GDR (East German) markings.  This is his 1/144 Zvezda Tupolev Tu-134AK NVA LSK finished to a very high level of quality.  Nicely done Björn.

Greg Kerry is here with a scene of his 1/72 Hobbyboss Gloster Gladiator diorama.  Greg combined quite a few elements including a car, bowser, Gloster Gladiator and figures to create this snapshot  into days gone by.  Very nicely done indeed.

Dragan Cvetic added scratchbuilt cockpit detailing and apitot tube to dress up his sharp looking 1/72 Special Hobby Mirage F-1EQ.  Dragan chose an  Iraqi Air Force desert camo complete with weapons load with th final result being a great looking Mirage F1.

Model shows this weekend:

Nick Walton aka Aeroplanedriver starts today with his excellent what-if article on his 1/48 Tamiya P-74 Meteor.  This is a USAAF Meteor that flew against Germany in 1946.  Read Nick's very interesting twist on WW2 history.  Beautiful build Nick and a great rewrite of history.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler is here with a classic space ship from the original Star Trek series.  This is ROUND 2 1/350 Klingon Battle cruiser complete with built in lighting.  I enjoy seeing Shawn's variety of models including his Sci-Fi models and this Klingon Battle cruiser is a classic space ship.  Cool to see Shawn.

Jean-Charles Goddet is here with his very eye catching 1/72 Hasegawa Boeing EF/A-18A+ ALA15.  JeanCharles chose a Spanish jet with a 25th anniversary paint scheme for the colourful markings on his Hornet.  I love these Tiger paint schemes.

John "Johnnymac" McCormick did a stellar job building his 1/32 Tamiya Mosquito Mk. VI.  John built it with all the wonderful Tamiya detail on display and I must say it really is an exception scale replica of the real aircraft.

Here's a product article for the 1/32 MiG-21 BD3-60 Pylons from Zactomodels These resin BD3-60 Pylons are designed for the MiG-21 and include the early and later 'heavy duty' version of the BD3-60 Pylons.

Michael Phillips has done a top notch job on the conversion to make his 1/48 Hobby Boss Su-30MKM Flanker-H - Keeper of KL in Malaysian markings.  Michael used a conversion set and a bit of scratchbuilding and some aftermarket parts to create his Malaysian Flanker and he explains the process in his article.  I love the look of his finished model.

Rodrigo Caselli Belém got everything looking perfect on his 1/48 Italeri TBF / TBM 1 Avenger.  Rodrigo gave the interior all the wonderful detail to make it look great and then gave his Avenger some careful weathering to show off the excellent detail of his bomber.  Lovely work Rodrigo.

No updates on Thursday and Friday, my wife and I are going out of town on a badly needed little springtime road trip.

Model shows this weekend:

Thomas Brückelt is here with a model of a restored 109 in Germany.  Thomas used the 1/72 AZmodel Bf 109G-4 "Red 7" to create this 1/72 replica of this fine looking fighter.  This was good to see and I enjoyed reading this article.

Stéphane Petitjean has done an impressive job building and displaying his 1/48 Anigrand MiG-31 Firefox.  This is a resin kit and Stéphane had some fit issues with this kit but the finished model looks excellent with it's multi shaded paneled finish.  I love the way it is posed in-flight.

Here's a product article for the 1/32 MiG-23 Splitter Plates from Zactomodels This detail set is designed for the 1/32 Trumpeter MiG-23 kit.
