Today on my wife's Youtube channel "Mai Sexy Garage" she changes the engine coolant on a Civic Del Sol and also bleeds air out of the system.  Plus footage of Mai enjoying the beach.  I have stepped out from behind the camera a bit more and Mai is more relaxed in front of the camera.

Mike Muth has added a very complicated and detailed finish to his 1/48 Eduard Albatros D-III Oeffag.  Mike is a wealth of info on WW1 aircraft and this article is loaded with interesting background info on the Albatros D-III Oeffag as well as what as involved to build this Albatros D-III Oeffag.

Kusumah Arsanul has done a most amazing weathering job on his 1/48 Academy Su-27S Flanker-B VVS.  This Su-27 is a treat to see.

Nasir Jaffry joins us for the first time today with his 1/48 Tamiya Briatol Beaufighter Mk.VI.  I love the look of this Beaufighter with it's noseart and as a bonus you also get to see his blue nosed P-51.  Welcome to ARC Nasir!!!

El Rey has added some amazing detail to his 1/48 Tamiya P-47D Razorback Red Tail.  El Rey always builds his models to a very high level and this P-47 is a joy to see.  Enjoy El Rey's photos.

Nanond Workbench Nopparat starts your week with a stunning 1/48 Hasegawa Bf 109G-6.   This 109 is a G-14 converted to a G-6 in a very attractive and complicated late war scheme.  This 109 has weathering to complete the camo and give it a very realistic look.  Simply beautiful.

Glenn Foutch is here with his great looking 1/48 Monogram F-4C-4.  Glenn used the kit markings for the Arkansas National Guard with a gray green camo scheme and special noseart.  Well done Glenn.

Greg Kerry joins us with another of his dynamite dioramas.  This is his 1/72 Hobbyboss Spitfire V Trop & Airfix Vehicles in a scene from the dark days of WW2 on Malta.  Greg does a wonderful job creating his dioramas and you can see more of them by clicking the link at the bottom of his article.  Looks excellent Greg.

Andy Stark is back on ARC after a break from the hobby.  This 1/48 ICM MiG 3 is his first model in a while and I'm pleased to see it on ARC.  Andy gave his MiG a full weathering job and I love the look of it.  Welcome back to ARC Andy.

Madagascar Independence Day

Alexandre Alves starts today's update with his first article on ARC.  Alexandre added an Aires super detail set and then drop the flaps and elevators on his 1/48 Hasegawa F6-F3 Hellcat.  This model has engine detailing as well as gun compartment detailing and a stunning cockpit and it is all finished with a beautifully weathered and shaded camo scheme for this Royal Navy Hellcat.  Excellent work Alexandre, welcome to ARC!!! 

Kenji Yanai joins us from Japan with his first article on ARC.  This is his flawless 1/48 Kinetic MQ-9 Reaper built to perfection.  Sit ack and enjoy the photos, this Reaper looks amazing.  Welcome to ARC Kenji!!! 

Jordi Farré  joins us from Spain with his first article on ARC.  This is his very realistic looking 1/48 Tamiya Bf 109E-4.  Jordi  gave his 109 an impressive paint job giving the camo the perfect sun faded look.  I love how this looks.  Welcome to ARC Jordi!!!

Bob TheDoc starts today's update with his 1/72 Revell Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-10.  Bob chose a great looking camo scheme and gave it an exceptional weathering job.  Bob got this one looking perfect.

Alexandr Trofimov is here from Russia with his first model on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya Hawker Harrier FRS.1 finished as a Falklands War Harrier.  Alexandr  added a resin cockpit and vacuformed canopy and then added more detailing with scratchbuilding.  Alexandr spent exceptional effort painting and shading his Harrier to give it the classic weathered look of a Harrier operating from an aircraft carrier.  Welcome to ARC Alexandr!!!

Daniel Iscold is here with a pair of 1/48 HobbyBoss EMB-312 Tucano T-27.  Daniel upgraded the detailing on both of these models and then chose 2 brightly coloured paint schemes for the Brazilian Airforce Academy and "Esquadrilha da Fumaça" National Display team, which both look excellent.

Frédéric Cottin has dropped by today with his eye catching 1/48 Hasegawa F-104N Starfighter.  Frédéric chose an excellent looking NASA paint scheme with some areas in multi-shade bare medal finish.  Beautiful work Frédéric.

Order of Malta - St. John's Day

Omar Alex Saffe gets things started today with his flawless 1/48 Tamiya A-1H Skyraider.  Omar chose a USAF "Sandy" from 1969 and finished in SEA camo complete with the weathering Skyraiders are famous for.  Omar gave his model a full loadout with RBF tags and even a drop tank for a perfect level of realism.

RSK48, Rafael has done a first class job 1/48 TwoBob Rockwell T-2D Buckeye.  This model is to honor the 100 Year Anniversary of the Venezuela Air Force and Rafael includes the history of the Buckeyes on the Venezuela Air Force.  Check out his photos, the weathering especially on the underside is terrific.

Greg Kerry is here with another of his engaging dioramas.  This is his 1/72 Fujimi Nakajima D4Y4 Judy & Hasegawa Fuel Truck in an airfield scene with plenty of tiny details to bring things to life.  I always enjoy seeing Greg's dioramas.. 

André R Manzano is here from Brazil with a very cool jet.  This is his 1/48 Academy MiG-29A finished in Luftwaffe camo and markings.  André gave his jet weathering and finished it with a full weapons load.  Very nicely done André

David Cook is here with 16 reference photos of the General Dynamics F-16C 85-1500.

Luxembourg - National Day and
 Official Birthday of H.R.H. the Grand Duke Jean
Thomas Brückelt has done exceptional work detailing a classic kit into a great looking diorama.  This is his 1/72 Airfix Bo-105C from James Bond 007 movie "A view to kill".  Thomas added plenty of detail to the model and reworked the figures to capture this classic scene from the James Bond movie.

Osvaldo Carrasco joins us from Chile with his 1/48 Kinetic F/A-18 A+.  Osvaldo added plenty of extra detailing and finished his Hornet in one of the best looking camo schemes worn by the Hornet.  Beautiful work Osvaldo.

Greg Kerry is here with a very interesting diorama.  This is his 1/72 Hobbyboss Heinkel He 162 & Airfix Vehicles creating a scene of a captured He-162 being loaded and driven away by allied troops.  I always enjoy seeing Greg's dioramas, because each one tells a great story.

David O'Coineoil is here for the first time today with his big and impressive 1/72 Airfix Short Sunderland.  David gave his flying boat weathering and finished it as a RAAF aircraft.  It looks spectacular, welcome to ARC David!!!

Kitti Tatsumaki is here with a very cool what-if 1/72 Tamiya/Italeri AV-8B Harrier II.  Kitti chose the markings for VF-84 Jolly Rogers which looks very good.  Kitti also gave this Harrier full weathering and displayed it on a flight deck display base with figures to complete the scene.  I love the Harrier and in VF-84 markings, it just looks that much better.

Gábor Pauka is here for the first time today with his spectacular 1/32 Hasegawa Nakajima ki-44 Shoki.  This exact aircraft was captured by US forces on the Philippines and these is a vintage photos of the captured aircraft in the article.  This is a superdetailed model and all the markings are painted on.  I'm very impressed by this Ki-44.  Welcome to ARC Gábor Pauka!!!

Shawn "phantom" Weiler took a classic 40 year old kit and juiced up the detail to get a very respectable 1/32 Revell RF-4B Phantom #208.  Wow...this is his 208th Phantom.....that is seriously impressive.

Al Randall is here for the first time today with his 1/72 AModel Pilatus PC-12/47E.  Al finished it as an Australian air ambulance and he explains the history behind this Aussie air ambulance system.  Beautiful work Al, welcome to ARC!!!

My wife "Mai" has created her own Youtube channel.  Her channel is called "Mai Sexy Garage" and focuses on fixing and restoring various cars.  In today's video she learns how to do a front brake job on a Honda Del Sol. She included some beach footage for a "Bikini Break" in the video as well as some funny moments during the brake job.  Check out her video...thanks everyone!!

Louis Chang was very busy super detailing his award winning 1/48 Kinetic Su-33.  Louis added scratchbuilt engine detailing and then finished his jet in a very attractive blue camo scheme and full weathering.  Spectacular work Louis.

Jeff Redbaron is here on ARC for the first time with his stunning 1/32 Trumpeter P-47.  Jeff f finished his P-47 and a heavily weathered Brazilian bird complete with noseart.  Very nicely done Jeff, welcome to ARC!!!!

Albert Moore has done a stellar job finishing and weathering his 1/72 Revell of Germany F-16A Block-10.  Alby actually did a conversion of this F-16 to create an accurate Michigan Air National Guard bird.  THis F-16 looks awesome.

Juan Carlos Porcella has put much effort into building and finishing his 1/48 Accurate Miniatures B-25B Mitchell "Doolittle Raiders".  Juan gave his raider light and accurate looking weathering and displayed it on an aircraft carrier display base.  I love it.

Omar Alex Saffe has got the weathering looking perfect on his 1/48 Tamiya A-1J Skyraider.  This Skyraider has a full weapons load and is finished in the markings for a South Vietnamese Skyraider.  It's good to see these South Vietnamese aircraft on ARC.

Oliver Schulz is here with his first model on ARC.  This is his 1/72 Hobby Boss Rafale B finished as a French bird with some great looking artwork for when it attended the NATO Tiger Meet in 2006.  I love Tiger Meet jets.  Welcome to ARC Oliver!!!

Enzo Acorda is here with his first model on ARC.  This is his 1/72 Hasegawa C.202 Folgore finished in the classic Italian camo.  Enzo gave his fighter a very careful weathering job and the finished model looks fantastic.  Welcome to ARC Enzo!!!

Floyd Werner is here with something that left me deeply impressed.  This is his 1/48 Zoukei-Mura Horton Ho-229 as it appeared without paint showing the glorious natural wood finish.  This is a very cool way to display the Ho-229 flying wing.  Beautiful work Floyd...this is a very creative way to display the Ho-229.

Brian Daum is here with his first model on ARC.  This is his /48 Tamiya F4U Birdcage Corsair built out of the box with some excellent weathering.  Welcome to ARC Brian!!!

Iceland Anniversary of the Establishment of the Republic

Pascal Lafrenière has done an exceptional job building the 1/72 Heller CL-215 in custom made decals for a model that he gave as a gift to a retiring colleague.  Pascal put plenty if effort and love into this model and you can see that in his photos.  This model has a full interior and an engine with the cowlings removed as the retiring colleague worked on this area of this aircraft.  Excellent work Pascal.. 

James Ashford is here for the first time today with a very special RCAF 1/48 Hasegawa F-104G Starfighter.  This is the special checkerboard scheme which was made possible thanks to some Leading Edge Decals.  James did extra work to his Starfighter to make it more realistic.  It's great to see this F-104 on ARC.

Dalibor Vodeničarski is here for the first time on ARC with his highly detailed 1/32 Trumpeter Messerschmitt Bf-109E-7.   Dalibor compelted the engine detailing and then left the cowlings off so show off all the magnificent detail.  His completed 109 is wearing a complicated camo from the early part of the war.  Check out the weathering, it looks very well done.  Welcome to ARC Dalibor!!!

Federico Kunz has really put great effort into his 1/32 Italeri F-35.  Federico displayed it with the missile bays open to show off more detail and the paint job looks awesome everywhere on his F-35.  I really enjoyed seeing his F-35.

I'm pleased to report the newly rebuilt walkaround section has been uploaded.  The changes include all new larger thumbnail images and all new webpages.  This was a multi-year project to rebuild over 1000 walkarounds.  I will begin uploading new walkarounds next week.  I'm excited to begin adding to the walkaround section.

Aurelio Reale is on ARC for the first time today with his 1/72 Ka-Model F-14B Tomcat wearing the special Santa Cat tailart.  Aurelio did a spectacular weathering job on this Tomcat and displayed it on a carrier deck diorama base complete with flight deck crew members.  Excellent work Aurelio, welcome to ARC!!!

Marcello Rosa has done an excellent job getting the weathering looking perfect on his 1/48 Hasegawa Hawker Hurricane Mk IIa.  This Hurricane was flown by an Australian pilot out of Malta in the dark days of 1942.  Marcello tells the tragic tail of the Aussie pilot of this Hurricane and also tells the story of building this gem of a model.

Raymond She is on ARC for the first time today with his impressive 1/100 Doyusha L-1011 TriStar.  Weathering is not always done on airliner models, but Raymond went to great lengths to give his airliner a wonderful shading job on the bare metal wings.  heck out his photos, you will be impressed.  Welcome to ARC Raymond!!!

Juan Carlos Gómez Y Sarzotti joins us today with his early war 1/48 Hobbycraft Seversky P-35A complete with 2 victory markings from the PTO.  I love the job Juan did on his P-35, it's good to see it on ARC.

John Loner is here for the first time on ARC.  This is his fantastic looking 1/48 AFV Club F-5E finished as a USN Adversary jet.  Beautiful work John, welcome to ARC!!

RSK48, Rafael is here with a very rare aircraft and the second one on ARC.  This is his stunning 1/48 Special Hobby Fiat BR-20 Cicogna complete with excellent weathering on it's bare metal finish and finished in Venezuela markings.  Rafael used a very interesting weathering technique that he explains in his article. 

Rizky Renaldy joins us today with his second model on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa F-14A finished in the markings for the one of the F-14s that was involved in the Gulf Of Sidra Incident.  Excellent work Rizky.

Tony Feredo is here today with his gorgeous 1/32 Hasegawa Ki-84 Hayate (Frank).  This fighter was stationed in the Philippines during WW2 and Tony gave it a beautifully shaded paint job with painted markings.  Very impressive work Tony.

Rafi Ben-Shahar starts today with an early Israeli fighter.  This is his 1/32 Roden Stearman IDF with a skillfully applied camo scheme that is faded from the strong sun.  Rafi gives a good explanation of his build process.  I never knew the IDF operated this type of aircraft.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler has done an amazing job weathering his bare metal 1/48 Hobbycraft CF-100 Mk IV.  Shawn used aftermarket decals for his Canuck and I'm also pleased to say he included photos of his other CF-100 models, which is very cool to see.  

JC Depiesse has done an excellent job building and detailing his 1/72 Azur Stampe Vertongen SV-4b by JC Depiesse.  JC finished his biplane in Belgian markings and very well done rigging.  Excellent work JC.

Didier Mayeur is here with his very unique 1/72 Hasegawa Ki 46 Dinah III that was captured by the French Armée de l'Air in Indochina and given French markings.  It's very interesting to see this Japanese Dinah in French markings.  Well done Didier.

Carl Jarosz gets things started today with his colorful Arizona ANG 1/48 Italeri F-86E Sabre.  Carl chose a bare metal jet and finished different areas with a variety of bare metal tones to better represent the real jet.  It is good to see these ANG jets on ARC and the colorful markings of this time period are artwork in their own right.  Thanks for showing your F-86 Carl.

Tony Feredo has dropped by the ARC corporate offices in the Philippines with his recently finished 1/48 Tamiya Ki-46 Dinah.  Tony was busy doing a conversion on this Dinah to make an aircraft that was based at Marikina Airfield, Luzon, Philippines on December 1944.  His paint work gives his Dinah a great looking faded look as you would expect to see in the tropical sun of the Philippines.  I love Tony's subject matter with a Philippines connection.

Rafael is here today to continue the commemoration in 2020, of the 100 Year Anniversary of the Venezuela Air Force with his 1/48 Testor F-5A Freedom Fighter.  Rafael gave his F-5 a weathered camo look and chose markings with some great tail art.  Very nicely done Rafael.

Paulo Lopes Lopes starts today with his flawless detail rich 1/35 Miniart Focke Wulf Triebflugel Nachtjager.  Paulo gave it a very complicated camo scheme and fitted it with radar for a what-if night fighter role.  His Triebflugel was then displayed with a pilot figure and base and tower to complete the scene thanks to his friend.  I love every part of this model and diorama.

Kangnam Kim is here for the first time today with the 1/48 Hobbyboss F4U-7 “French Corsair”.  This Corsair has an exceptionally well done weathering job that you can enjoy in the photos.  Welcome to ARC Kangnam!!!

ESzczesniak has been very busy adding detail and quite realistic weathering on his 1/48 Kinetic F/A-18C.  Eric used a variety of aftermarket parts and decals which added much to his Hornet, but the true beauty of this Hornet is Eric's very skillful weathering job.  Sit back and enjoy the photos, I know I sure did.

Here's a product article for the 1/32 Su-27 Early Tail Stinger  from Zactomodels.  This is a simple item to use....cut the corresponding part off the model and glue this hollow tail into place with CA glue.  There is also a small styrene rood included for you to add the various antennas specified in the instruction sheet.  The stinger is cast hollow to help reduce weight at the tail end of the model.

No update today.  I was up until 5AM working on the archiving pages for the new Walkaround section.  I need to get some sleep.

I am busy spending 14 hours a day building the archiving pages for the walkaround section.  The new archiving pages in the walkaround section will each have a sample thumbnail photo as is done in the gallery and review sections on ARC.


Tomislav Mikojević starts your week with his flawless 1/48 Revell Tornado.  This weathered Tornado is one of the Gulf War jets complete with weathering, sexy nose art and a full weapons load.  It's good to see this Tornado, enjoy the 7 photos. 


Paulo Lopes Lopes is here with his 1/48 ICM Dornier Do 17z on an amazingly well done display base.  This display base shows how well the camo works for these Finnish bombers. 


Yufei Mao has been busy getting everything perfect on his 1/144 Ilyushin IL-62M Air Koryo P-881 landing at PEK, 2013.  Yufei is very careful with every detail and this North Korean airliner even has a pilot figure.  Exceptional work Yufei.

ESzczesniak added excellent detailing and fantastic weathering to his 1/48 Tamiya P-38F "White 33".  This is a sweet looking P-38.  Excellent work Eric. 

Luis Picalúa has done a excellent job building and weathering his 1/32 Kinetic CF-188.  This is a Canadian F-18 and Luis got all the details correct including the identification light.  Excellent work Luis. 

Charlie Rodimages has done excellent scratch built detailing to his 1/48 UH-1V.  This Huey has plenty of detail inside and out and it is finished as a medivac chopper.  Sit back and enjoy the photos, there was many hours spent getting the added detailing looking perfect.

Louis F Cornio has done a wonderful job detailing, finishing and weathering his 1/48 Monogram F-8E.  This is a classic kit and Louis finished it with some great looking colorful markings from that time period of the F-8.  Looks great Louis.

Nguyen Phan has done an exceptionally fine job on his 1/48 Tamiya A1 Skyraider.  This Skyraider has flawless weathering and excellent detailing and is finished in South Vietnamese markings.

  Battle of Midway (1942)

A nice big update for you all to enjoy.  

The rebuilding of the walkaround section only needs about 10 more hours of work, so I hope to have that complete within 1 week.


Shawn "phantom" Weiler fires thing up today with his RCAF 1/32 Czech Model T-Bird, CT-133 Silver.  Shawn chose to finish his Starfighter as it appeared when stationed in Germany which looks very good.  Shawn also included other photos of his other Starfighters in a large assortment of paint schemes..

Phil Golding has been very productive during the lockdown and this is his highly detailed and skillfully finished 1/32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.IX.c.  These 1/32 Tamiya kits are amazing and in the hands of a highly skilled modeller such as Phil, then you get a true masterpiece of a model.  Beautiful work Phil and I admire your choice of markings for one of my favourite RAF aces.

Andrew Maverick Taylor joins us with something very special.  This is his 1/48 Italeri RAF Tornado GR.1 "Operation Granby" with sexy noseart posed in-flight with plenty of weathering just like the real Tornadoes during "Operation Granby".  It is a treat to see this Tornado.

Wawan Hermawan is on ARC for the first time with his 1/72 Airfix Skyvan.   Wawan finished it as a NASA aircraft which looks quite good.  Welcome to ARC Wawan!!!

David Kopielski is also on ARC for the first time today.  I'm pleased to see his 1/48 Hasegawa F-104C Starfighter “Snoopy Sniper” complete with text noseart using Caracal decals.  Nice work David, welcome to ARC!!!

Tolga Ülgür gets things started today with his gorgeous 1/32 Revell Junkers Ju-88A-1.  Tolga added plenty of after market detail items and finished it as a Battle of Britain bomber with skull noseart.  I love BOB birds and this one is a joy to see.

Omar Alex Saffe is here for the first time on ARC.  This is his 1/48 AFV Club Tiger II finished in Swiss markings with special 75th Birthday Scheme artwork.  Omar weathered his jet and it looks fantastic.  Welcome to ARC Omar!!!

J Dee Richardson  is here for the first time on ARC.  This is his 1/32 Trumpeter P-51B Mustang finished in US markings with artwork in a wonderful bare metal and green scheme.  Eduard seatbelts were used to dress up the cockpit with great results as you will see in the photos.  Welcome to ARC J Dee!!!

Robert Martino joins us today with his 5th article on ARC and it is one of the better paint schemes I've seen on a T-33.  This is his 1/48 Testors T-33A with scratchbuilt cockpit detailing that looks excellent and finished in a very pleasing blue scheme with a sharks mouth.  I love how it looks,

Italy National Day

Gian Marco Sali is here on ARC for the first time with his stunning 1/48 Revell Tornado F.3.  Gian did a lot of scratchbuilding on his Tornado and finished it with weathering in Italian markings to mark the Italian National Day today.  Beautiful work Gian...welcome to ARC!!!

Juan Carlos Gómez Y Sarzotti is here with his very eye catching 1/48 Academy P-47N Thunderbolt with bright markings and sexy noseart of both sides of the nose.  This P-47 looks excellent and I love the nose art.  

Alex Sidharta is here from Indonesia today.  He has applied a very special what-if camo scheme to his 1/72 Zvezda MiG-29SMT.  I always enjoy seeing Alex's latest model and it is a treat to see his MiG today.

Klaasjan Schuuring is here with something you will not see very often.  This is his 1/110 Revell Mercury Atlas from the early days of the Space Program.  Klaasjan did a first class job on his model and the finished model looks perfect.  I enjoyed see this one.

M Razali Ahmad starts your week with this 1/48 Airfix P-51D that was built in 48 hours for a Covid-19 group build.  This was a quickie build but the finished model turned out great and I particularly like the Swedish markings on this Mustang.  Welcome to ARC M Razali Ahmad!!!

Javier Alejandro Jover joins us from Argentina with his first model on ARC.  This is his big and beautiful 1/48 Revell / Monogram B-1.  Javier added resin exhausts which I think was a very good idea and then gave it a full weathering to bring this beauty to life.  Welcome to ARC Javier.

Pinco Panco is back today with his second model on ARC.  This is his 1/72 Eduard Ilyushin Il-2m3 Sturmovik that has some interesting markings and a first class weathering job.  Nicely done Pinco. 

Daniel Machado is here with his first model on ARC.  This bare metal masterpiece is his 1/48 Airfix English Electric Lightning F.3 finished with some great looking colourful markings and just the perfect amount of weathering.  It is a treat to see his Lightning on ARC.  Welcome to ARC Daniel!!!
