F-94 built essentially OOB. Mostly
Humbrol paint with some Testors for detail. Decals a mixture of kit,
Superscale and spares to arrive at the desired serial number. An easy
build resplendent in the arctic recognition colors of the era.

In the mid '50s my parents gave me a
copy of "The Jet Aircraft of the World" by Green and Cross which was
read and reread almost to exhaustion.
Included in that book was a spread on pages 98-99 detailing the Douglas F-94
Starfire. Included as part of that spread was a photograph of FA-912 and a
line drawing of the same aircraft which forever etched in my mind the definitive
image of the F-94.
Years later when I acquired the
Heller Humbrol kit there was never any doubt as to the color scheme and serial
number that would be employed.
