This is the first model that I have built in 15 years.  I've been building models since I was 5 years old and I have collected model kits through the years.  But other things have come and gone and now I am ready to dive into modeling again.

This Revell F-4 was a good kit.  I used a resin refueling rod, but I made a mistake on the location of the fuel rod.  The instructions where no help.  It pays to do some research on the subject your working on.  I painted it with Model Master enamel paint with Aztec Airbrush.  All the camo was done free hand and the decals where Skydecals, they where a pain to use.  I had to use Microscale decal film in 2-3 layers to keep them from breaking apart.  The TISEO ( Target Identification System Electro Optical) was made from a A-37 gun pod and a 1,000lbs bomb in 1/48th scale and some plastic card stock.

I weathered with a pastel wash.  And used Model Masters Metalizer lacquer exhaust and burnt metal on the ends of the exhaust.  I then used Tamiya clear blue thinned with alcohol to give the slight bluing of the exhaust.  Well all the help that I got was from this web site.  I thank all the people that put there models on here.  It has inspired me and i like to show you the help has paid off. Thank you again. And all of you keep on modeling.
