About ten years ago, I looked at the X-15 when I visited the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. At that time I didn’t know anything about this strange-looking plane, I just passed it with no interest. But later I got to know the amazing story of X-15, the fastest aircraft in the world, I was really impressed with this plane. And even I received a Special Hobby’s X-15 kit as a gift, so I decide to make a model of this plane.

This kit includes not only a plane but also external fuel tanks and a ground dolly. They all show wonderful details. Although assembling was not easy due to too many tiny parts and wire aligning, colorful fuel tanks and a yellow ground dolly are a good match for the black plane, and well worth the trouble.

I hope you can enjoy it.
