This kit was built from the Hasegawa 1/48 kit, mostly OOP, the only extras added was a set of gun barrels and pitot tube from the Master Models set.

Painting started with Vallejo black primer, and followed that up with Vallejo Air Aluminum in the areas I wanted to chip the top coat away. This was followed up with an application of hairspray, and then the top coat applied which was a Vallejo color, but the name escapes me now. The color was then lightened with some sand color and the center of the panels were picked out. Once dry, water was applied to chip off the top coat. Once that was finished, the kit was gloss coated for decals, and then a wash of Flory Models Grime wash was applied, and then a Vallejo Matt coat, with gun and engine exhaust staining applied using Vallejo Pigments. Some say the chipping is too severe, but looking at photos from back in the day, I have seen some that showed much worse chipping than that. All in all I think it came out well.

Enjoy the photos.
