The Skyhawks were used by Malaysia in from the eighties to the nineties. A total of two squadrons used the type to replace the Canadair Tutor or Tebuan forming No 6 and No 9 Squadrons based in Kuantan Malaysia.
This aircraft depicts the later two tone camo used in the later life of the Skyhawks in Malaysian
service. The aircraft belongs to No 6 Sqn and used as a lead in to the type.

This is a rebuild of an older build of mine. I decided to make it in a flying configuration. Pilots were donated by a close modeling buddy and the decals were a local print by an local outfit. Paint finish was a combination of
Model Master and Gunze paints. Some custom mods like the enforcing panels, wiper etc were done to give it a more Malaysian variant.
Always a fan of the Skyhawks and the Malaysian ones are no less.
Always a treat and thanks to Steve at ARC for making it possible for us to show case our pride and joy year in year out.
Happy Merdeka to All Malaysians
