On 26th April 1976, near the Malaysia-Thai border, the S-61A-4 serial FM1715 was shot down by Communist terrorists. The ill-fated aircraft crashed into the thick jungle, killing all 11 on board. It was the first, and only, aircraft the Royal Malaysian Air Force had lost to direct enemy action.
This is my tribute to those who had perished that day.

The model is a Fujimi SH-3 modified into an S-61A-4 as it appeared in the 1970s. I added some padding in the interior, and drilled out openings to model the window configuration used by the RMAF. Gunze paints were mixed for the colour and decals are from decal-la.
