Revell has bought the rights to produce the Dragon Bf110 under it's own name and what a kit this is. The quality of the moulds is perfect. Fit is great and the details are very accurate. Dragon clearly did their homework for this kit. Unfortunately Revell managed to include a very poorly redacted instruction booklet. It looks great, in colour, however it contains so many errors that it could cause serious problems if I hadn't checked many things just to make sure. Parts not being mentioned, reversed numbering and, concerning the undercarriage, it looks as if the person making the drawings had no clue what it was that had to be represented. Anyway, I keep hoping that they will one day learn that, in some cases, content is more important than looks.

The build however went a treat. The interior and engines are cool projects in themselves. I purchased a few sets from Eduard to liven it up a bit more and I am very satisfied with the results. I have chosen to show everything opened up, which with the propellers on the engines probably would be impossible but in this case it's about showing off.

I painted the BF110 using both Vallejo and MrColor paints. For some reason my trusty floor polish had a hard time spreading evenly over some parts of the Vallejo paint causing the surface to stay rough. This causes some silvering with the decals unfortunately which can be seen on one of the pictures. But besides that painting went well. I highlighted, gave the kit a wash and a bit of chipping which look convincing to me. A few smoke trails shows this machine has been busy. I'm really happy with the paint job. I hope you enjoy it too.
