1/48 Tamiya Me-262A

I built this kit just straight OOB. I really donīt think it needs anything else to become a great model.  Some alumminum foil seatbelts were added and also some cooper wire to the stick, and to the panels to simulate some knobs and levers as seen on some pictures. I also used some guitar string to simulate the oxygen tubing.

As for the gun compartment, some cooper wiring was added to simulate cables and thatīs it. The kit is superb in the meaning that it cames with the Kettenkraftrad (which I used in building a Ju-87 Diorama..to be posted soon) and a really excellent detailing.

For the finishing touch I used Model Master enamels RLM 76/81/82 and the classic squiggle pattern, made with the  Paasche VJR airbrush with free hand technique.

Then some semi-gloss lacquer was applied, then some decaling, another lacquer coat and finally some weathering with raw umber and black ivory oils, and also some pastel chalks  here and there.

As a final conclusion, I have to say that this is a really great kit to build, highly recommended.
