This is my first
submission to ARC, so a big hello to all the modellers I've nicked ideas from these
past few months! I have little modelling experience, having built just a few
kits but really like the F16. I saw the kit, bought it and put it away until I
had some time to do it (in)justice. On the sprue, the kit looks beautiful
although some of the engraving actually finishes a little deeper than I thought
it might. No real problem however. I was surprised when I tried to fit the
ejection seat into the finished cockpit as it doesn't fit. You have to hack
off the bottom framing of the seat. Its not really noticeable, but not what I was
expecting. Another small problem area was the intake. Needed a lot of filing and
a little putty. Could just be me of course. Another problem relates to the
national markings. Somehow Revell got these wrong and I didn't have any spare to
replace them. I'll pop them on when I get them.

I've tried a few techniques I
learned on ARC as you might see from the images above. Really just some
basic stuff like thinned oil paint gently persuaded into the panel lines and a
bit of shading with pastels.
Overall this is a really nice
little kit. Cheers!
Paul
