1/72 Revell P-51B - RAF

VERSION:

I think that the RAF camouflage is great, so I have decided to do the second version that is suggested by Revell. Decals are very good, I just had to remove the clear-flim from the "Q GA letters" code.

THE KIT AND CONSTRUCTION:

This Revell kit is very good with good basic details, so no problem if you want to build it "just out of the box". The only thing I think is not good is the canopy part, that is not clear enough and do not fit to the fuselage very well, so I decided to do a brand new canopy using a transparent plastic foil. I had no problems when putting the fuselage and wing parts togheter, no putty was needed. I also used needles to represent the wing guns.

COLORS:

That's the standard RAF camouflage scheme. I used the acrylic paints from AEROTECH.

CONCLUSION:

I strongly recommend this kit because it is easy to construct and all basic details are represented.
