1/72 Tamiya Mosquito FB Mk VI

Here is my 1/72 Tamiya Mosquito FB Mk VI.  It was built out of box with the kit decals.  I modified them to represent a hypothetical fighter-bomber from the Banf Strike Fighter Wing, based in Scotland during the last two years of World War II.  I call it "I for Ike".

I used Model Master flat enamels for painting, sprayed through a Badger 360 Universal.  For weathering, I used a combination of pastel chalks and artists oils (burnt umber and raw sienna), thinned with turpenoid.  All panel lines were preshaded with black enamel after a coat of primer.

Model went together like a dream, but took me five years of on and off building.  It got an Honorable Mention at our model club's recent ValleyCon in small-scale Multi-Engine Prop category.

Hope you like my model!
Cheers and happy modeling,

Pete
