I'll spare the history as
much has already been said about the Viper already. Looking for a
kit upon finishing Airborne school down at Fort Benning (I could not do
much else as my body was beaten down from that school), I found this kit
1/3 off at Hobby Lobby. I had yet to attack a 1/32 scale kit yet,
and was looking for a long project. I purchased some aftermarket
parts, using the Eduard cockpit set, a Verlinden seat and extra pilot
figure. The work then began.

Up to this point
I was still only using simple airbrush and weathering techniques. I
decided to try some new things which turned out to open many new doors.
I pre-shaded the panel lines with black, base painted, then post-shaded
between the panel lines, achieving a great effect in my opinion.
The kit was pretty straight forward sans piecing the fuselage together,
which took some finess. On and off for about 3 months, I finally
finished and am mostly satisfied with the way it turned out. I am not much
of a
photographer, but I did my best to capture most of the detail.
I hope you all enjoy
the pics. Special thanks to the many ARC's tips and tricks, as well as the
many inspiring kits that came before mine. Please e-mail me if you have
any comments or advice, and as for accuracy... I
usually use markings I like, so the decals are not 100% accurate! FLY
ARMY, ARMY STRONG!
