German
and European building site dump trucks are a common sight on the
streetscape. There are dump trucks with 3 or 4
axles. Dump trucks with normal dump boxes or recently also with
round hollows. Since there is no kit for such a model on the
European market, I looked around elsewhere. I found a model of the Mitsubishi Fuso dump Truck,
which is unfortunately only available in Japan
.

This
is the
Mitsuwa model kit of a Mitsubishi Fuso dump Truck. The kit
is crisply molded in good quality. What surprised me is that the driving cab is
one whole piece. This particular vehicle is right hand drive.
There was no flash and the chrome parts were of a very high quality.
They could be used straight out of the box.
The
model was built purely by me out of the box. The seats were refined with
viscose rayon flakes. Various interior parts were painted with
Revell colors, which became the drivers cab and the dump truck box which were
painted with Mint green autolacquer. The rear axle is very well represented and
easy to see in the photos. Since the tilting hydraulics were so well
done in this a kit I chose to display the model with the box in the up
position.
