Both of these
are nicely detailed kits, a bit more so on the Tamiya kit (lettered E9-V).
I used different shades of Alclad aluminum over a base of black
lacquer. I also added the Eduard photo-etch sets in the cockpits.
I've spent so much
time building models lately, my wife is beginning to shake her head in
wonder (or is it disgust?). My doctor told me I needed a hobby, so I
always lay that on her...HA!

The utility
truck is a Dodge WC-51 by Italeri, a very good kit. The Jeep is by Heller,
and has exceptional detail. I've also built the Hasegawa and Academy
Jeeps, neither are as good as the Heller. The fuel truck is Hasegawa, a
disappointment, considering the detail in their aircraft kits. The open
cab cargo truck is a GMC CCKW, also by Heller, another excellent kit.
Thanks to all
of you whose articles I've read, especially in "Tools and Tips",
which have made me a much better modeler.
