I always liked the
desert scheme camouflages, and the Tamiya Bf109E-4 Trop on the colors
of JG27 is a nice example with his top surfaces painted in desert sand and
motted with dark green patches.
I added only
pre-painted Eduard interior set FE220, handles for sliding panels on the canopy,
brake lines and antenna wire.

First I put
a coat of Gunze Mr. surfacer 1000 as a primer and pre-shading the model
with matt black.
For this model I used Model
Master Acrylics range, interior RLM02 Grau #4770, bottom surfaces
RLM78 Hellblau #4788, top surfaces RLM79 Sandgelb #4789 and the patches
with RLM80 Olivegrun #4790. Before the white fuselage band was
sprayed in Tamiya XF2 and masked.
After a couple of coats of
Future and the decaling process, was sealed with another coat of Future
and a final coat of Matt #4635.
Then the exhausts stain was
sprayed free hand with Tamiya XF1 and XF10. A wash of black chalk and some
weathering with Tamiya Weathering set, complete the job.
