This is a Westland Seaking Mk. 41 Helicopter, based on the Hasegawa Sikorsky SH - 61 Helicopter in 1/48 scale.  I use the Flightpast Conversion Kit RAF Sea King HAR. 3/3a . The set contain almost all the parts you need to build the German version of the Mk.41 helicopter.  The decals and the radom are came from the German conversion kit builder HaHen, who offers alot of other decals and resin parts for building German AC`s, including special paint schemes of modern aircraft and back to WW2.

The modifications are to replace the fuel filling hose beneath the door, to build in the bubble windows on both sides of the body, to close the first window by the left side, replace it behind the second window. Then you have to cover the sonar hole.  Next step, you have to cut the horizontal stablisator and to make the bubble on the left side of the engines gear box.

All the modificactions for the antennas are included in  the FP Conversion kit.  From HaHen (www.hahen.de) decals is also a resin part for building the new actual radar dome used by the German Marines.  One small problem with the decals is that there is not all the stencils which are use by the Mk.41 helicopter.  It took almost half a year to build this helicopter, but I had lots of fun with this very unique model.

Regards and greetings from Germany

Jan
