As
a fanatic of modern Russian aviation and especially the big one, the first time I
saw
the An-12 I said to myself "this plane is mine" and I bought it.
When I started the
job I was very pleased with the quality of the Roden’s kit, well injected
polystyrene and the clear parts are very well done, for the lateral windows I used
Cristal Clear.

When
you open the box you will see a lot of plastic trees, you'll probably feel
confused but start studying the instructions and go slowly. It's very tricky to
assemble the interior of the fuselage and don’t forget to put a lot of weight
in the nose. Be careful with the under carriage, to many small pieces. Needs a
little bit of putty especially on the engine nacelles. The rest of pieces
go together well. I painted it with automotive acrylic paints with a Badger 200 airbrush and
I used the decals that came with the kit.

Conclusion:
I
hope you enjoy this Russian version of the American Hercules. I have to admit,
I prefer the Antonov… looks more aerodynamic.
