This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for 4 different Me-262's.

The first aircraft is a Me-262 S7 W.Nr. 130012 with Eprobungskommando 262 from Lechfeld in the summer of 1942.  The paint scheme overall RLM 76 with text aircraft markings.  This was the 7th series production aircraft.  On the side of the fuselage are the marking VI AL with a red number 6 on the side of the forward fuselage.  This aircraft had an engine fire and crash landed on June 1 1944.  the aircraft never flew again but it was retained for landing gear testing.

The second aircraft is a Me-262 A-2a W.Nr. 111711 flown by Hans Fry (test pilot) from Schwabisch Hall in March 1945 & Wright Field in 1946.  Hans Fry defected with this aircraft to Frankfurt at the end of the war.  While at Wright Field this aircraft was used in flight testing comparisons against other American fighters.  On the 12th flight there was an engine and the pilot bailed out.....the aircraft was lost.  The paint scheme is overall natural metal with grey putty covering the panel lines.  There is a small section of RLM 02 at the base of the tail.

The third aircraft is a Me-262 A-1a with III./EJG 2 out of Lechfeld in 1945.  The paint scheme is an RLM 76 on the underside and the side of the fuselage with RLM 74/75 on top of the fuselage and wings and RLM 74/75 mottling along the side of the fuselage.  This aircraft has a white 17 on the side of the forward fuselage.  One of the engine intakes is natural metal and also at one point an engine exhaust was natural metal....but all this is detailed in the text instructions that are included with the decal sheet.  This aircraft also has a yellow band around the fuselage behind the canopy.

The fourth aircraft is a Me-262 A-1a flown by Ofw Friedrich Gentsch with 7./KG (J) 54 from Neuberg in March 1945.  The paint scheme is an RLM 76 on the underside and the side of the fuselage with RLM 74 on top of the fuselage and wings and RLM 74/75 mottling along the side of the fuselage.  This aircraft has a green BC on the side of the rear fuselage and a yellow diagonal stripe on the side of the fuselage below the canopy.

The instructions are clear and include colour drawings to assist in decal placement.  There is a page of text including information about all 4 of the aircraft.  No stencils are included on this decal sheet.....use kit stencils if you use them at all.

A very nice decal sheet and will be much appreciated by anyone wanting to build one the big beautiful Trumpeter Me-262 in 1/32 scale.
