This new decal sheet from Yellow Hammer Decals includes markings for two different 1/48 F-14D's in paint schemes close to the retirement of the Tomcat.

The first aircraft is a F-14D with VF-31 Tomcatters flown by CDR Jim 'Puck' Howe on Sept 8 2006 at NAS Oceana, VA.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is FS 35237 on top and FS 36375 on the underside.  The rudder is mostly red on both sides with the "Felix the black cat carrying a bomb" artwork on the outside of both rudders.

The second aircraft is a F-14D with VF-31 Tomcatters flown by CDR Greg Knepper on Sept 20 2006 at NAS Oceana, VA.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is a lo-viz FS 16440 on top and FS 17875 on the underside.  The rudder has toomcatter artwork marking the anniversary of the F-14 1970-2006 on the outside of both rudders.

The instructions are clear and include 2 views of each aircraft.  The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet.  One complete set of stencils is included on this decal sheet.

A very nice decal sheet to mark the retirement of the F-14 Tomcat.

I would like to thank Yellow Hammer Decals for providing me with this review sample.
