This
new decal sheet f rom
Yellow
Hammer Decals includes
markings for two different 1/48 F-14D's in paint schemes close to the
retirement of the Tomcat.
The
first aircraft is a F-14D with VF-31 Tomcatters flown by CDR Jim 'Puck'
Howe on Sept 8 2006 at NAS Oceana, VA. The
paint scheme for this aircraft is FS 35237 on top and FS 36375 on the
underside. The rudder is mostly red on both sides with the
"Felix the black cat carrying a bomb" artwork on the outside
of both rudders.
The
second aircraft
is a F-14D
with VF-31 Tomcatters flown by CDR Greg Knepper on Sept 20 2006 at NAS
Oceana, VA. The
paint scheme for this aircraft is a lo-viz FS 16440 on top and FS 17875
on the underside. The rudder has toomcatter artwork marking the
anniversary of the F-14 1970-2006 on the outside of both
rudders.

The instructions are clear
and include 2 views of each aircraft. The decals are beautifully
printed on 1 decal sheet. One complete set of stencils is included
on this decal sheet.
A very
nice decal sheet to
mark the retirement of the F-14 Tomcat.
