--------------------

Not too long after Part II., today already well known Czech made Tally Ho! came out with Part III. of Lockheed P-38 Lightning in both 1/72 & 1/48 scale. These are on the market under #72 049 & #48 038. This set is a must for all SWPA fans.

The sheets are identical in both scales and offer 4 options:

1. P-38H-5-LO Lightning (s/n 42-66847) "White 79" flown by Capt. Richard I. Bong, 9th FS, 49th FG, 5th AF at Dobodura airfield, New Guinea in Southwest Pacific, November 1943.

2. P-38H-5-LO Lightning (s/n unknown) "Blood & Guts" flown by Lt. Elliot Summer, 432nd FS, 475th FG, 5th AF at Philippines early 1944.

3. P-38G-13-LO Lightning (s/n 43-2204) "Beautiful Lass" flown by Lt. John G. O' Neill, 9th FS, 49th FG, 5th AF at Dobodura airfield, New Guinea in Southwest Pacific, October 1943.

4. P-38H-1-LO Lightning (s/n 42-66532) White 10" flown by Maj. Thomas J. Lynch, 39th FS, 35th FG at Port Moresby, New Guinea in Southwest Pacific, March 1943. This aircraft features "sharkmouth".

Well done instruction sheet in English nicely shows placements of the nose arts and ID numbers on both sides of the planes. Suggested colors listed are FS and practically all of the paint manufacturers (Testors, Agama, Humbrol, Revell, AeroMaster, Gunze and Tamiya). Listed are also all the used references. All the US National insignias are included. The Nose Art and "kill" marks artwork is very crisp and well detailed. My samples are in perfect register.

Following distributors carrying Tally Ho! decals: www.squadron.com and www.rollmodels.com. You can also visit manufacturers' own website : www.tallyho.cz for additional information and list of their complete line.

Thank you Kamil Meluzin for supplied samples!
