This new decal sheet from Zotz Decals includes markings for eight Spitfires...some with sexy noseart.  All of these spitfires have artwork of some kind, two with sexy noseart.  There is one flown by a Czech pilot, a Greek spitfire, Italian Spitfire, a British spitfire based in Hong Kong flown by a pilot born in Argentina, a British spitfire based in Singapore, a British spitfire flown by a pilot born in Greece, plus 2 spitfires with D-Day stripes.  And finally a spitfire flown by Flt Lt "Johnny" Johnson which includes sexy noseart of a naked girl sitting on top of a V-1 Doodble Bug flying bomb.

  • Spitfire MkIX "Muscat" flown by Sqd Ldr John Agorastos Plagis.

  • Spitfire MkIXc flown by Flt Lt Otto Smik.  RAF Czech squadron markings.

  • Spitfire MkXIVe "Brumhilde" flown by Flt Lt "Johnny" Johnson.  Noseart is a naked girl riding a V-1 Doodle bug flying bomb.

  • Spitfire MkXIVe RN133 "Jean VI" flown by Sqd Ldr Kenneth L Charney.

  • Spitfire MkXIVe RN135 "Iron Hand" flown by Sqd Ldr JH Lacey Singapore late 1945.

The 4 pages of instructions are clear and include 2 color views of each aircraft.  You get background information on each aircraft telling it's story and I must admit each of these spitfires has an interesting story to go with it's unique markings.

Special thanks to Fotios Rouch and PierPaolo Maglio for their contribution.

This decal sheet will sell out very quickly due to the excellent variety of aircraft and the very pleasing selection of markings and noseart.  The recommended kits would be the Pacific Coast Models Spitfire Mk IX Series or the new and much acclaimed Tamiya Spitfire MK IX.  This is another beautifully done decal sheet from Zotz Decals and I look forward to seeing more WW2 decal sheets from Zotz Decals.

You can order this decal sheet from the Zotz Decals website.

I would like to thank Zotz Decals for providing me with this review sample.
